For our 5A Light drumsticks we use especially light hickory wood. This allows us to create a stick that is reminiscent of a maple stick in terms of feel and lightness. The Rohema 5A Speed Stick was developed in collaboration with Andy Gillmann. The stick was designed to get even more speed out of your drumming. To do this, Andy experimented with different ways of holding the stick. The result is a drumstick that can be held optimally between the index and middle finger thanks to a taper in its back third. This special way of holding the stick allows you to apply more pressure almost automatically and the playing becomes faster.

With the dimensions of a classic Rohema 5A Hickory drumstick, the Speed Stick is suitable for almost every drummer and many styles of music. In the video tutorial Andy Gillmann explains the backstories and the exact usage of the 5A Speed Stick.
