Yamaha P-seeria kerged, lihtsalt kasutatavad ning akustilise klaveri tunnetusega digiklaverid on klaverimängijate poolt armastatud üle maailma.

Võrreldes oma eelkäijaga on P-225 palju lühem ja õhem ning see näeb ilus välja iga nurga alt sulandudes hästi igasse ruumi. Väiksema toote šassii saavutamiseks töötas Yamaha välja töötanud uue GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) klaviatuuri, mis on ehitatud järgides kompromissideta standardeid ning mis pakub akustilise klaveriga sama laadset mängutunnetust nagu P-seeria varasemates mudelites kasutusel olnud GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) klaviatuur.

Mudelil P-225 on Yamaha esmaklassilise kontsert-tiibklaveri CFX helid ja see mudel kasutab virtuaalse resonantsi modelleerimise (VRM) Lite tehnoloogiat, mis imiteerib detailselt ekspressiivseid toonimuutusi, mis toimuvad tõelises tiibklaveris.
