Rohema JB 1 jazz brush has fine bristles made of metal and a
handle made of wood.
We manufacture the handle from high-quality hickory. With a
diameter of 14.5 millimeters, it lies comfortably in the hand and
feels good. The rubber coating between the wooden handle and the
wires is important, especially for accents on the cymbals, which
sound less sharp this way.
Small rubber rings can be used to adjust how far the metal wires
should be fanned out. The wires are not too stiff, but not too
loose either. This results in a warm, mellow sound that is very
suitable for Jazz or Latin music.
The wirebrushes JB1 compared to their counterparts with plastic
handle have one advantage: they also provide a very nice sound
when turning the handle upside down and are thus maximally
flexible to use.
