Artistic guidance was provided during the design stage by John Hagstrom of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. We focused on achieving the ideal blowing resistance and weight balance, and we re-thought every part of the new Chicago trumpet. We've created an instrument that is not simply easy to sound, but also provides delicate response when playing pp and powerful presence when playing ff. For the first time Yamaha has designed a student trumpet with a reversed main tuning slide allowing for an exceptional feel and response. The YTR-3335 has the addition of a brace on the main tuning slide for a more stable and solid sound. The two-piece bell of the YTR-2330 is crafted using state-of-the-art production methods, delivering a consistent, vibrant tone. The balanced weight and addition of an adjustable third valve trigger allows for a natural hand position and promotes proper playing technique, while the water key on the third valve slide adds to the ease of use and over-all playability of the instrument.

• Highly durable monel alloy pistons as well as piston buttons and bottom caps help lengthen the life of the instrument while also maximizing sound quality.
