These pickups are a faithful recreation of the Jazz Bass single coils of the early 60s. Our Vintage Jazz Bass pickups stay true to the originals by capturing that warm tone with just the right amount of midrange. The neck model is full sounding, and brings in a nice, rich bottom end without being boomy. It is wound RWRP so that it will hum-cancel when used together with the bridge pickup. The bridge model is smooth and punchy and delivers a brightness that is a perfect balance for the warmer neck model. These pickups are drop-in replacements for any American Standard Jazz Bass. The Vintage Rails is a single coil sized humbucker with a unique split-blade design that is meant to be wired in parallel to give you a sparkly, vintage style single coil tone without the Strat hum. In the bridge position, this pickup will be tight and crisp, and will give you lots of vintage Strat snap. The S1 pickup for Strat™ type guitars has a new stacked design, high output and is extremely quiet. Perfect to complement high output dual-coil pickups in the same guitar. The S1 features a prominent mid-range while the Low Frequency response is clear, but very full and powerful.All HZ Pickups have EMG's exclusive 5-wire quik-connect™ output allowing any number of wiring combinations, and are fully shielded for a minimum of noise. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise.
