These pickups are a faithful recreation of the Jazz Bass single coils of the early 60s. Our Vintage Jazz Bass pickups stay true to the originals by capturing that warm tone with just the right amount of midrange. The neck model is full sounding, and brings in a nice, rich bottom end without being boomy. It is wound RWRP so that it will hum-cancel when used together with the bridge pickup. The Vintage Rails is a single coil sized humbucker with a unique split-blade design that is meant to be wired in parallel to give you a sparkly, vintage style single coil tone without the Strat hum. In the bridge position, this pickup will be tight and crisp, and will give you lots of vintage Strat snap. For added versatility, its 4-conductor lead-wire gives you the option of switching it into series wiring (using a push/pull or mini-toggle) for hotter, fatter humbucker tone. Read more

David Gilmour needed a pumped-up sound for his famous Black Strat, so Seymour wound what became the Custom Staggered medium-output Stratocaster pickup. It has been, and continues to be, an honor to work with such a legend. The Custom Staggered is a special overwound single-coil that strikes a great balance between increased output and classic Stratocaster tonal character. It will deliver bigger, fatter chords, and will cut through the mix more clearly than a traditional Strat pickup, all the while maintaining the magic and mojo that make a Strat sound like a Strat. Single notes are bold and loud, and solos truly sing. Use in the bridge position with a pair of Vintage Staggered Strat pickups in the neck and middle for the Gilmour-approved setup. Use a Custom Staggered RWRP in the middle for noiseless setup in positions 2 and 4. Read more

Tame the twang and give your Tele increased midrange cut and punch with the Hot for Tele pickups. If you were to begin with a vintage tele neck pickup, wind it hotter, mellow the highs and enhance the midrange response, the result would be the Hot Tele Rhythm. The Antiquity neck humbucker delivers an articulate, yet mellow tone that results from a perfectly balanced frequency response that combines a soft, sweet treble attack with a warm, full sounding low-end. The custom aged alnico 2 bar magnet creates an airy openness to the top-end that gives chords clarity and articulation, while the vintage output coils really bring out the rich harmonic content. Single notes have a beautiful singing quality with just the right amount of treble emphasis.

The Antiquity bridge humbucker delivers that open, airy tone of the great “P.A.F.” humbuckers that Seth Lover designed in 1955. High notes cut through without being overly bright, and low notes growl with spongy vintage warmth. We wind the bridge model a little hotter for better balance and added warmth, and, as with the neck model, we use the same custom hand-aging process to create an authentic vintage look and sound.

Each Antiquity humbucker is built in our Custom Shop and aged both cosmetically and magnetically to simulate the wear and tear that a pickup goes through after decades of playing. The mold we use for our butyrate bobbins was created by the same factory that built the original P.A.F. mold for Gibson. Other key features include our specially manufactured 42AWG plain enamel mag-wire, nickel silver cover, 2.5-inch alnico 2 bar magnet, custom machined metal spacer & maple spacer, single conductor push-back braided lead wire, and nickel silver bottom plate with long mounting legs. Staying true to the original Gibson P.A.F., these humbuckers are not wax potted, which takes you right to the edge of harmonic breakup. For that unmistakable vintage mojo, we wind every Antiquity humbucker on Seymour’s original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI.

This unique Trembucker (F-spaced) pickup combines our patented dual-pole design, an alnico 5 bar magnet, and over-wound coils for a bold, bright tone with an articulate, clear high-end, and a tight, focused low end. The innovative pole setup will noticeably increase your guitar’s natural sustain. Your sound will stay clear, and defined at all gain levels. Chords will be up front, and growl, while leads will have a nice glassy quality. Often paired with a PA-TB1n Original Parallel Axis Trembucker or PA-STK1n Parallel Axis Stack in the neck position for versatility.

NOTE: Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (2 inches or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup).
