Epiphone’s long friendship with Mr. Les Paul began in 1940 when Les built one of the world’s first solidbody electric guitars while working nights at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. Les’ first solid body guitar, nicknamed “the Log,” would go on to inspire the Les Paul™ Standard, which many consider the greatest electric guitar ever made. The Les Paul Standard 60s models from the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson™ Collection recreate the look, feel, and sound of the early 1960s-era Les Pauls. They feature a mahogany body with a maple cap, and the models with translucent finishes have an added AAA flame maple veneer visible through the finish for that classic “flame top” look. The mahogany neck sports a laurel fretboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a fast-playing 60s SlimTaper™ profile. The headstock is equipped with quality Grover® Rotomatic® tuning machines and a Graph Tech® nut for rock-solid tuning stability, so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning. The Les Paul Standard 60s is powered by a perfectly balanced set of Epiphone’s acclaimed Probucker™ pickups, with a Probucker 2 in the neck position and a slightly hotter Probucker 3 in the bridge, and each pickup is wired to its own individual set of volume and tone controls that feature CTS® potentiometers. The Epiphone Riviera, one of Epiphone’s original, most enduring classics makes a comeback! First introduced in the early ‘60s, the Epiphone Riviera’s semi-hollow design has been a favorite of players from all genres and generations including blues greats Robben Ford and Otis Rush, Lou Reed of the Velvet Underground, and The Strokes’ Nick Valensi, who have all found that the Riviera’s legendary ES™ body shape can produce great tones with any pickup variation. This Riviera features a layered maple top back and sides, a 3-layer pickguard with the classic metal Epiphone “E”, and comes equipped with Epiphone's LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ adjustable bridge and Frequensator tailpiece. The entry level model of the new X Series, the X100 features the same slick and fast playability of the higher-end X Series models with Meranti body wood and hard rock Maple neck, Jatoba for fingerboard with 400mm(15.75”) radius, two high output humbucker pickups, and 6-point tremolo system available in three open pore finishes: Black, Black Cherry, and Black Cherry Burst.

The SG Standard ‘61 returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved – shaping sound across generations and genres of music. In 1961, the Les Paul™ model was put on hiatus, and an all-new design evolved into what is today known as the SG™ or “solid guitar.” The Gibson SG Standard ‘61 retains the styling of the legendary original models from the early 1960s. It features a solid mahogany body with the classic double-cutaway SG shape, complete with the iconic deeply sculpted body scarfing and double horns that make this model instantly identifiable. The mahogany neck has a fast-playing SlimTaper™ profile and is capped with a bound rosewood fretboard that is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic trapezoid inlays. The fretboard has a 12” radius, so it’s comfortable for first-position chords, and lead lines played higher up the neck won’t fret out. The neck joins the body at the 22nd fret, ensuring easy access to its entire length, making the SG an ideal guitar for lead players. As with the earliest SG models, the SG Standard ’61 features a 5-ply teardrop-shaped pickguard. The nickel-plated hardware includes a classic-style ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece that help contribute to the model’s excellent sustain. The SG Standard ’61 is equipped with smooth-turning Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons and has a Graph Tech® nut. The pair ensure rock-solid tuning stability. The pickups are 60s Burstbucker™ humbuckers™ for a classic voice with added power and top end. The 2 volume and 2 tone controls feature audio taper potentiometers and are hand-wired with Orange Drop® capacitors. The controls are capped with black Top Hat knobs. The SG Standard ’61 delivers the legendary SG tone, outstanding playability, and American-made Gibson quality that have made the SG the choice of countless players around the world for decades. A Gibson hardshell case is also included.
