Made in Japan Traditional '50s Telecaster® Limited Run Texas Special adopts a gloss finish basswood body, a Sonic Blue color not found in the regular model, and a Tortoiseshell pickguard. In addition, by adopting Custom Shop Texas Special™ Single-Coil Tele® for the pickup that is the cornerstone of the sound, it outputs a sound with a more powerful midrange.
A 9.5 inch radius "U" shape maple neck equipped with 21 vintage style frets provides classical playability unique to the Traditional series. A vintage-style Sting-Through-Body bridge with 3 brass saddles and original pickups selected for the Traditional series deliver realistic and musical vintage tones. Characteristic of production in 1963, this Tele features clay dots (narrow-spaced at the 12th fret), a 7.25" radius fingerboard fingerboard and is offered in three colors: Crimson Red Transparent over mahogany and 3-Color Sunburst or Surf Green over alder.
