Both end plates have a 3/16" hole in the center for mounting to the snare strainer frame. The 16-strands of evenly spaced coiled snare wire offers a consistent snare response.

Slingerland Radio King Clamshell snare wire is designed specifically to accommodate the unique snare mounting system of that 14" vintage snare drum. Both end plates have a 3/16" hole in the center for attachment of the wire to the strainer. With 16-strands of evenly spaced steel coil wire, you can achieve the vintage sound of the Slingerland Radio King snare drum.
