The Pugilist V2 is a distortion pedal like no other, wielding dual independent distortion engines packed inside one chassis to crank out a wealth of thick tones. Each distortion engine can be turned on separately using its designated footswitch and dialed in using its own Gain, Tone and Level controls. This provides two distinctively flavored distortion voices, with Engine A delivering treble-rich lead drive tones and Engine B laying on thick, heavier distortion. The real magic of Pugilist V2 is in the Path switch, which runs the two distortion engines through three different signal paths as they push each other into harmonically rich saturation. The two Series Modes send one circuit into the other for stacking drive tones that can be layered like amp channels, using the footswitches to kick into the next level of cascading distortion. Parallel Mode delivers deep tone-shaping by running the two engines side by side to be blended and balanced using the level controls to create the perfect meld of articulate, chunky distortion. Featuring global Mid Cut and Bass Boost switches, conveniently switchable buffered and true bypass modes, and multiswitch enabled footswitches for momentary and latching activation, these ever-sparring distortion circuits knock out huge distortion tones with modern conveniences fit for any board.

    • Two independent distortion circuits living in one chassis, each with their own controls and dedicated footswitch
    • Blend or stack the two distortion engines using the path switch to unlock unique gain tones found in the meld of two strong
    • circuits
    • Bass Boost and Mid Cut switches provide additional tone shaping to glue together your final distortion tone
    • Rear panel Multiswitch enables latching (tap) and momentary (press-and-hold) footswitch action
    • Rear panel true or buffered bypass switch, with relay based auto-bypass when no power is present
    • Top mounted jacks and road-ready aluminum enclosure
    • Powered by 9V Center Negative AC Adaptor, Not Included

The Chug Pedal is born from years of testing thousands of pedals, amplifiers and plugins to create a unique perspective resulting in the Ultimate Metal Preamp Pedal, simply and effectively named: CHUG.

The CHUG pedal circuit has been optimally voiced as a “pre-amp”. This means that it is designed to take the place of the High Gain preamplifier circuit channel in a guitar amplifier. The signal starts by passing through a network of High Frequency and Low Frequency filters while offering the ability to add an enormous amount of Gain and overdrive. Equalization options are extensive with Bass, Middle and Treble controls preceding Depth and Presence for true amplifier feel. A keenly programmed noise Gate fed by the input signal and indicated by change in color of the LED is followed by the output that works like a master volume. It is housed in an all metal “built like a tank” enclosure with top quality jacks and switches. Power supply is not included (9VDC 100MA minimum). The sound, flexibility and overall style has been supremely tailored for maximum CHUG!

The Chug Lite Pedal is the little brother of the original Chug. Though smaller in stature, this pedal punches above its weight with the same huge gain and tone that has the made CHUG, Chug!

The primary difference between the CHUG Lite and the original CHUG pedal is that the circuit has been more optimally voiced to use in front of an amp as a traditional distortion pedal, whereas the Original CHUG is voiced as a preamp. Simplicity, gain and serious midrange control is the key to the feature set. Following the GAIN control (with tons of it on tap), the Midrange offers both (FREQ) Frequency selection and (MIDDLE) +/- amount to dial in your perfect midrange crunch or scoop between 160hz and 2.6k. In addition, there are Bass, Treble and output boost controls to set the level to your amp or next pedal. It is housed in a much smaller (but bigger than a ‘mini’) all metal “built like a tank” enclosure that occupies very little real estate on your pedalboard. The sound, flexibility and overall style has been supremely tailored for maximum CHUG!

*Please pay attention to output level control and start at low level then turn up while setting*
