The original boutique vintage humbucker pickups to make your Les Paul look vintage and sound priceless. The Antiquity neck humbucker delivers an articulate, yet mellow tone that results from a perfectly balanced frequency response that combines a soft, sweet treble attack with a warm, full sounding low-end. The custom aged alnico 2 bar magnet creates an airy openness to the top-end that gives chords clarity and articulation, while the vintage output coils really bring out the rich harmonic content. Single notes have a beautiful singing quality with just the right amount of treble emphasis.
The Antiquity bridge humbucker delivers that open, airy tone of the great “P.A.F.” humbuckers that Seth Lover designed in 1955. High notes cut through without being overly bright, and low notes growl with spongy vintage warmth. We wind the bridge model a little hotter for better balance and added warmth, and, as with the neck model, we use the same custom hand-aging process to create an authentic vintage look and sound.
Each Antiquity humbucker is built in our Custom Shop and aged both cosmetically and magnetically to simulate the wear and tear that a pickup goes through after decades of playing. The mold we use for our butyrate bobbins was created by the same factory that built the original P.A.F. mold for Gibson. Other key features include our specially manufactured 42AWG plain enamel mag-wire, nickel silver cover, 2.5-inch alnico 2 bar magnet, custom machined metal spacer & maple spacer, single conductor push-back braided lead wire, and nickel silver bottom plate with long mounting legs. Staying true to the original Gibson P.A.F., these humbuckers are not wax potted, which takes you right to the edge of harmonic breakup. For that unmistakable vintage mojo, we wind every Antiquity humbucker on Seymour’s original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI.

Our country-fried Pearly Gates humbucker pickups transform any Les Paul style guitar into a classic rock outlaw. The Pearly Gates neck captures all the mojo of the original neck pickup from Billy Gibbons’ 1959 Les Paul. It is a P.A.F. with a unique tonal variation that provides more midrange than typical humbuckers from that time. The result is a neck pickup that cuts through with stronger tailored mids, but still has the open and airy treble attack of the alnico 2 bar magnet. Combined with a warm, spongy low-end, this pickup is great for both rhythm and lead playing. Seymour discovered Billy’s bridge pickup had slightly more output than most P.A.F.s, which helped to give it the extra drive that make this pickup so special. The alnico 2 bar magnet keeps the high end sounding airy but focused, and the midrange emphasis gives it a unique Texas sizzle. It really has a growl all its own and will help to bring any humbucker-equipped instrument to life. Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Pearly Gates vintage output humbucker pickups use an alnico 2 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. This unique Trembucker (F-spaced) pickup combines our patented dual-pole design, an alnico 5 bar magnet, and over-wound coils for a bold, bright tone with an articulate, clear high-end, and a tight, focused low end. The innovative pole setup will noticeably increase your guitar’s natural sustain. Your sound will stay clear, and defined at all gain levels. Chords will be up front, and growl, while leads will have a nice glassy quality. Often paired with a PA-TB1n Original Parallel Axis Trembucker or PA-STK1n Parallel Axis Stack in the neck position for versatility.
NOTE: Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (2 inches or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup).
