  2. INV10705

Rohema Straw Brushes are a combination of brushes and rods. They are made from bundled European broomcorn, which creates a sound all its own. Straw Brushes create more volume than traditional jazz brushes, but have less attack than rods. Thus, they create a pleasantly light feel on cajon, hi-hat or snare. Thanks to the special handle with ProGrip, the brushes fit comfortably in your hand. The diameter is 21 millimeters, with a length of 360 millimeters.

  3. INV10706

Prepare yourself for entirely new sound possibilities on drumset, cajon and various percussion instruments with these very special brushes.

To manufacture the Flat Straw Brushes, we use European Broomcorn. Its slightly darker, bundled bristles have a higher moisture content and are therefore a bit heavier. This ensures a slight top-heaviness and a very pleasant rebound behavior. The wide, fanned-out playing surface of the Flat Brushes produces unique, smacking sounds, while the rather slim handle feels comfortable.

You can use the Flat Brushes just to play as usual, but you can also use them like brushes. The broomcorn provides slightly less attack than the wooden bars of rods, but much more volume than classic metal brushes. You can use the Flat Straw Brushes for quieter passages on the drum kit or in jazz, for example, or on the cajon.

In combination with other brushes or sticks, you have everything you need for creating out-of-the-ordinary sound experiments.

Steve has refined the design once more with a new angle that allows the wires to better glide across the head, providing a smoother sweep and a velvet swish! Additionally, the retractable pull-rod now includes a third crimp that offers the player an enhanced setting capability. Read more
