The S Curve 131 is a professional quality signal processor that gives you precise tonal control over a mono audio signal. Center detented sliders with LED illumination allow you to selectively cut or boost selected frequency areas by as much as 12 dB. Front panel controls include output level sliders, a variable Lowcut filter, as well as Cut Only, Range and Bypass switches. The Pentatone Gate is a standalone version of the GATE section in the Ibanez Pentatone Preamp. This gate achieves a quick response and natural sustain and has an added threshold mode switch which allows you to adjust the threshold in the appropriate range. Furthermore, thanks to the 4 I/O jacks, the gate circuitry can work at a proper location, such as right after distortion pedals or in between the send/return of a guitar amplifier.

A graphic equalizer that allows you to set the frequency range and Q width tailored for guitar tone shaping. With Nutube in the preamp section, raising the level adds distinctive tube harmonics and compression. Choose frequency bands of 100Hz/250Hz/570Hz/800Hz/2.2kHz/5.6kHz, designed for intuitive tone shaping. To facilitate active tone shaping, the frequency bands are set to be more effective by widening the Q width compared to a typical graphic equalizer. It’s easy to use for switching between backing and solo, as well as for overall adjustments. The inclusion of Nutube in the preamp provides a musical distortion when the level is increased. The absence of a center click is intentionally designed for easy and fine adjustments.

Set the low frequencies lower and the high frequencies higher for a clean tone arpeggio, ensuring each string sounds distinct. Boost the mids for easy solo articulation, or set it sharp for creating a sharp sound in heavy backing. The versatility allows for various sound options.
